On Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, a set of malformed answering rules were created in the PBX causing it to ignore all answering rules between 3:29 PM and 6:49 PM ET. Call routing that does not depend on answering rules was unaffected. Call routing that depends on answering rules behaved as if answering rules did not exist. Answering rules functionality was ultimately restored by deleting the malformed answering rules and restarting the PBX nodes to remove the malformed answering rules from the PBX process memory. On March 21st, 2024, at 12:33 AM the API was patched to address the gap in validation that allowed the malformed answering rules to be created. We apologize for this service impacting incident. We understand the disruption it has caused to the operations of our customers and are sorry for the inconvenience.
